Cleveland Pride '95 march demands
We, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community of the Greater Cleveland area, demand the following of our local, state and federal public officials:
•
• Equal rights in child custody, adoption and foster care.
• State and federal recognition of same-sex marriages.
• An end to racism, sexism, ageism and homophobia.
•
• Increased funding for AIDS education, research and patient care, and universal access to health care including alternative therapy.
•
Reproductive rights and increased funding for women's health issues, especially research for women's breast cancer.
• Truth in education and acknowledgement of gays and lesbians in all curricula.
• An end to violence against members of our community.
• Basic civil rights in areas of housing, employment and public accommodations.
We have a life-not a lifestyle.
